More info needed: This depends entirely on several things you don't mention: Exact location, how widespread, skin infection (cellulitis) or something deeper, any abscess (maybe requiring surgery), what antibiotics are being used both now and previously, how long you've been taking it, and still more. Make sure it's not actually herpes zoster (shingles), which can be very painful and requres entirely different Rx.
