Period and pregnancy: If "flow" means her regular menstrual period bleeding, that means she is not pregnant... because a woman who has sex BEFORE her period and then gets her true regular menstrual period is not pregnant. Emergency contraceptive pills would still "be effective in preventing pregnancy" in this case (because there is no pregnancy to prevent in this case... unless "flow" is not her true menstrual period).
