R/o std: Any lesion on the penis warrants a look by an M.D. and evaluation to rule out syphylis, herpes and other sexually trasmitted diseases. Syphylis classically presents with a painless ulcer. You may need to be on antibiotics to prevent progression. Wear a condom if engaging in sexual activity.
