A member asked:

Going on airplane soon and have an air cast walking boot. is it safe to fly?could i get a blood clot?anything i should be aware of? thank you!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is safe to fly: If you are able to walk, then it is safe to fly. Walking also prevents blood clots. So if the flight is more than couple hours, you should get up and walk in the plane for about 100 steps once every hour. Good luck
