Limited options: Cough/Cold in children is frustrating because drugs don't help much or at all. Decongestants/Cough suppressants don't work before puberty and may cause harm. Children over 1 year could try honey to help with cough. For kids over 3 months old give acetaminophen for pain/fever. For over 6 months old you can give ibuprofen too. Encourage drinking a lot of fluid and high humidity.
