Is it natural for an adams apple to split vertically?

Adam's apple: I am not sure what you mean by vertical split of Adam's apple but it's not uncommon for it to have a V shaped edge in the middle on top of it. Also, from the bottom of that V there drops down a line that divides it in half. If that's what you call a split, then it's normal.
