A member asked:

Ive has slight bleeding after intercourse and pain during sex. it feels as if when the one area is pushed on, theres this shocking uncomfortable pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sexual pain: Some bleeding with intercourse can be due to an inflamed cervix. Sharp and "uncomfortable pain" may be due to a "tilted uterus" ( retroverted )position, allowing occasional compression of an ovary in some positions. Ovaries are heavily invested with nerve endings which produce pain, similar to the nerve distribution in testicles in males. Ask your gyn provider for confirmation.
