I had injection for trapped nerve in lower back 2 days ago. last night when sleeping my hip kept jerking hard all night. what could cause this?

One of the potential: side effects of these injections is that MOTOR nerves may be "irritated" (the nerves exiting the spine are very close together!!) This is self limited and should go away. If the symptoms increase contact the interventional pain specialist who performed the injection! Hope this is helpful Dr Z
