Probably not.: Much more likely that you are clenching and/or grinding your teeth when you sleep, causing a TMJ type of problem. You should see a dentist who is comfortable treating a TMJ problem. Outside of the numbness, what you are describing is typical for a TMJ problem. If you are having that kind of numbness, you need to see a physician/neurologist.
