Contusion : You have bruised the distal nerve. I would just wait and things should return to normal. Try a warm compress and an anti inflammatory such as Aleeve. Good Luck

Exam needed: I recommend that you go to the hospital emergency room where prompt evaluation and treatment is available. Normally we recommend cold applications for such an acute injury. The coldness you experience probably is due to reflex vasoconstriction but I recommend going to the emergency room now.

Go to the ER.: With those symptoms, you need at minimum and x-ray, and you may need to see a hand specialist, Depending on the findings. You should not delay going to the emergency room. Good luck.
