Likely to be acne: Acne and shingles are unrelated. Don't try to figure out what is causing your acne to flare -- it's futile -- but manage it with topical benzoyl peroxide and if severe, get with your physician. If the lesions on your face are seriously painful, get seen. Zoster / shingles on the face is usually on one side only -- is this you? Best wishes.
