Thyroid function: Menstruation is not a problem with thyroid testing. If your healthcare provider orders the blood test, it should only be for thyroid stimulating hormone ( TSH). Other thyroid tests are possible, but usually not necessary. If you have a thyroid nodule, it is advised to have a radioactive iodine uptake test, and your healthcare provider can order it.
