Normal: It may take two weeks or longer for the throat to heal after a tonsillectomy. Active bleeding should be reported to your surgeon, but gargling with saline (salt water) may help to clear it faster. If the mucous is related to nasal congestion or cough, you need to be asssessed for sinusitis or bronchitis.

ENT: Any fever or chills? Any other symptoms? Taking postoperative antibiotics? Safest course of action will be to see your ENT for follow up ASAP.
