Confusing post: Teens can have irregular periods in the first 6m-1yr after they start because they have not begun to ovulate regularly. After a yr ovulation is usually regular, but some women continue to have irregularity through much of their life with delays up to and beyond a month. A pregnancy test is more likely to be falsely negative than falsely positive if done early.
