Vertigo perhaps: Sounds like vertigo. You need an examination to confirm this. This is a problem in the inner ear that monitors fluid levels in tiny troughs to determine our position and orientation for balance. If the chamber is filled with fluid or subject to pressure from a cold, allergies, or infection these sensors get confused. Often the cause is unclear but meclizine usually helps with the symptoms.

Vertigo with sudden : Onset like this is most likely due to small sand sized crystals on the inner ear being displaced and creating sensations that resemble being on a moving ship . Look up the Epley maneuver and of this does not help, see your doctor right away .
