Gi doc said colon adenoma was 5mm, but path report says "multiple polypoid fragments" totaling 13mm. a 13 mm anedoma would be higher risk. how to explain this discrepancy?

What difference...: does it make. Fragmented biopsy pieces are not indicative of the whole specimen and needs to be followed in 3-5 years anyway

Follow up: Agree with Dr. Hammerstead. You need a follow-up colonscopy in 5 years, irrespective of the minor issue with the size of the poly. Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
