Defense to C. Diff: C. Diff infection is notorious for being spread easily, especially in hospital settings which is why they have isolation precautions. Individuals treated in the outpatient (home) setting usually have very specific instructions to follow to prevent spread to family or friends. Observing these precautions during therapy will reduce or eliminate risk to others. Good hand-washing is essential.
