Missed period: In late thirties, one's ovulation may be delayed, which will delay the onset of a menstrual period. The ovary needs more stimulation to produce an egg (ovulate), which delays ovulation and the period following. This is not menopause, but represents a normal course of events as women begin to end their "childbearing years". Your periods should resume, but perhaps not as regular at this point.
