For about 6 mos. i've had a small, hard lump in upper right abdomen, approx 1.5-2" below ribs. no other sx. could it be a problem w/ colon or liver?

Lump: If the lump is freely movable it may be a benign growth like a lipoma, wen or inclusion cyst. If it is firm and fixed it would be more concerning. See your physician for reassurance.

RUQ lump: May be a lipoma, fibroma or ganglion cyst would have it checked out. Usually you don't have metastases or primary to the liver/colon that you feel, but it is important to have it evaluated.
