A member asked:

Is a minilap essentially similar to a c-section but without cutting into the uterus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"Minilap": This term refers to relatively minor surgical procedures of the abdomen, for example an appendectomy by laparoscopic surgery. Actually any operation involving surgery inside the abdomen is a "laparotomy", so the term is basically used to allay apprehension on the part of the patient. Ask your provider for more information.
