1/1500: The chances of uterine rupture after one c-section is about 1/1500. It is rare but potentially deadly to both mother and baby if not acted upon quickly. For this reason anyone attempting to have a vaginal birth after a c-section should do so in a hospital that has an ob/gyn and anesthesiologist immediately available.
