Abd pain, one side: "Late period" and abdominal pain on one side can indicate pregnancy. Obtain a serum HCG test , which is very accurate to be certain. Sometimes a pregnancy may originate in the tubes (ectopic), so even if positive, see an OB provider for an exam and ultrasound as soon as pregnancy is confirmed.

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation. Left sided pain could signal a problem in the colon. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test.
