A member asked:

Is it dangerous to have an abnormal papsmear during 11th week of pregnancy and a yeast infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Check with your HCP: Wait until after 14 weeks to treat the yeast infection. Speak with your doctor about the safest local treatment and scheduling a colposcopy for the abnormal pap smear. This is a painless procedure which allows her/him to take a closer look at the cervix through a magnifying device. Generally, biopsy of the cervix is not indicated during pregnancy unless your hcp determines it is advisable.
