A member asked:

Are there similarities between huntington's disease and down syndrome?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unrelated: Down's is due to an extra chromosome causing a variety of bodily, and mental changes. Huntington's chorea is due to a change in one chromosome which causes a rapid neurodegeneration for which there is no cure. So the only similarity is that chromosomes are responsible in both cases but the symptoms are totally different.
