A member asked:

Which healthcare facility do i go to for listeriosis screening?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Start with your doc: It is frightening to learn of various health conditions that can occur during pregnancy. Listeriosis is caused by a bacteria that is able to survive in more saline environments, e.g. soft cheeses and meats. It is usually self-limiting in those immunocompetent and presents as diarrhea. I would say if you are pregnant and without fever or GI symptoms, it is unlikely that you have listeriosis.
