A member asked:

Noac's rivaroxaban,is my risk of stroke now less than a person who has never had a fib while i take this drug?thank you.

NOAC: This treatment is only to protect you against the development of blood clots in the atria of your heart and thus prevent a stroke caused by atrial clots which could dislodge and travel to various parts of the body. They will not protect you from hemorrhagic stroke or 100% from stroke caused by a blockage in a cerebral artery. A daily aspirin(81 mgs) may offer more protection against the latter.
