Bcp starting time: Start your oral contraceptive pills when your due menstrual period starts. This won't stop your period, but will prevent ovulation effectively. Take your bcp's punctually about the same hour each evening (not in AM) to prevent breakthrough bleeding and sleep disturbances (low dose bcp's run out of estrogen if taken in the AM, so sleep is often disturbed).
