A member asked:

Hi, my fiance sifted one of his disks in his back (t8/9) we went to the gp yesterday, they gave him a injection and very strong pain meds.... he now has 1 cold and 1 hot foot?? is this normal or is it possible that the nerves is damaged?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Find a better DR: Spinal disks do not slip or ["sift"?]. But they can rupture. It is not normal to have a marked difference in temperature between left & right feet. This may be a damaged nerve from bone or disk or muscle or spinal ligament or the Dr's needle. Try to see a neurologist or neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon.
