A member asked:

What are the health benefits of vasectomy ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

One benefit...: When no more kids are wanted in the future... meaning, if a parent were to lose his current kids in a tsunami, war, or an earthquake, and then feel he is far enough along in his life not to start over with new babies, then it would be fine to have a vasectomy for "birth control." Vasectomies are permanent, work very well, and eliminate the need to worry about accidentally getting anybody pregnant.
