This has been going on 5 months. i have seen 4 different doctors to get other opinions, all of them look and say it's a fungus. yet they have not taken any samples to be tested to see what type. it is only getting worse over time. nystatin ?

No need for samples: if by examination it is fungal infection as judged by four doctors, Nystatin is an antifungal, but where do you have the infection? follow doctors' advice, good luck
