I take gravol the kind that makes you sleepy every night for sleep, will this damage my kidneys?

Not advisable: Gravol is not supposed to be used as sleeping aid. It can have multiple side-effects. If you have used it for very long time, abrupt discontinuation can cause withdrawal symptoms as well. Discuss it in detail with a physician.
