A member asked:

I have large bumps on the back of my tongue, bad breathe, white patches on my tongue, and extra mucus. i have a feeling its oral herpes, if it is will i ever get my tongue back to normal and mouth back to normal. is there something i can take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not hsv: The symptoms of oral herpes are painful blisters, or ulcerations on your lips or the inside of your mouth. Herpes does not cause any lesions on the tongue. Make sure to brush your teeth regularly and consider seeing a doctor for the other symptoms as it could be a sign of another infection
