I was dx with a yeast infection & my rx is for terazol 3 day kit. how far do you have to insert it for it to be most effective? i did the first applicator tonight and didnt get very far, i am very swollen/irritated and it was painful to insert it.

Not far: As long as the medication is placed into the vagina it does not matter how far it is inside the canal. If the vulva (outside) is irritated, you can also rub some of the medication directly on this area to help heal faster. Also make sure to avoid perfumed soaps or clothing detergents and wear loose fitting, cotton clothing. Feel better soon
