What does an emg test show. i had one done for toe pain on both feet and was told pain is from back. how can they know pain is from back?

EMG shows muscle: EMG (electromyography) is a recording of the electrical activity of the muscles (myo) of a specific area. There is no direct correlation of the electrical muscle activity and the level of pain.
