Trichomonas: Trichomonas can be carried without symptoms for years in a women's vagina, and probably sometimes in men as well. Therefore, even though trich is an STD, many infections are diagnosed in people not recently at STD risk. Still, it IS an STD. You both need trich treatment, and to be safe both also need testing for other common STDs (gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and HIV). Good luck!
