HIV stage 2: During chronic HIV infection,virus continue to multiply and cd4 cells continue to go down. As this stage can last several years, complications from colds and flu will depend where a person is in stage 2. Closer it is to Aids, more likely are the complications. With current medications, viral load can be decreased significantly and should have similar course as anyone else.
