Decrease stimulation: A minimal of several hours. However, you can play with the timing of it - to find out what is optimal for you. You don't want to be overly stimulated when you retire for the night.

Not right before.: While running is overall great for improving sleep quality, running right before going to bed would keep you up. Give yourself at least four hours after running before going to bed.
