Hi, i have a burning sensation in my stomach that comes and goes, i have been on pepcid medication for a week, and it has improved a bit especially at nighttime, but i still feel it more during the day, what could it be? thanks.

Reflux?: You likely suffer from acid reflux although a stomach ulcer needs be ruled out as well. You may try a more powerful anti-acid drug in the proton pump inhibitor class but if the problem worsens or lasts for longer than 2 weeks, you will need to consult your doctor.

Reflux: You may be experiencing reflux. If that is the case a proton pump inhibitor like omeprazole will work better. Also modifying your diet and time of meals is recommended.
