Maybe not.: The common pneumonia germs don't always cause pneumonia, which means a person with pneumonia might transmit her germs to another person, but the receiving person might get other symptoms (such as nose, ear, or throat symptoms) instead of pneumonia. Pneumonia transmission is more likely airborne, meaning breathing in the air the sick person breathes out may be more risky than sharing one food item.
