A member asked:

What does this mean? ive gotten the same result 5yrs apart hepb sa - nonreactive hepb sag ql- nonreactive hepb core ab - reactive hepb sa - < 5 miu/ml

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sa: want it reactive: Having the same serology results as one had last time, usually means the same thing as they meant last time. HepB sa likely means "surface antibody," for which "nonreactive" means not immune (and not guaranteed non-infectious in this type of situation). If vaccines were done after last time's lab results, and HepB sa is still nonreactive, the doctor might not do any more vaccinations.
