W/ close monitoring: Prescribing carbamazepine (CBZ) with almost anything can be challenging as it induces all CYP450 pathways. Mybulen contains 3 separate drugs, which can all be affected by CBZ. CBZ can lead to accumulation of acetaminophen's toxic metabolite NAPQI & also generally ↑ risk of liver damage. It can ↑ levels of morphine (a more potent 2° metabolite of codeine) & ↓ levels of ibuprofen.

Tegretol is an older drug which is used very rarely these days due to side effects and ubiquitous drug-drug interactions. When you mix medications, you need to monitor blood levels and stay in therapeutic range, especially if Tegretol is being used for epilepsy. Maybe best to consider switching to a more contemporaneous drug with less cytochrome problems, but that is a challenging task.
