Traction alopecia.: This sounds like traction alopecia, in which keeping the hair pulled back tight results in said hairs being pulled out from the scalp by the roots. Time will tell if hair will regrow. Quite frankly, you’re at an age at which men generally do lose their hair anyway. If the scalp looks reddened, see a dermatologist.
