Taking metoprolol at 5am & lisinopril 5pm.but still waking up with bp 200 over 120,,,heart pounding shaking,, why the gap in coverage at late night &?

High BP: Tell us how long have you had high BP and taken medicines to control it. Right now your BP is not under control, so you need to see your doctor ASAP. You will likely need an increase in the dose of yur medicines or addition of a different medicines to control BP. You also need to be checked for causes of high BP, particularly kidney disease or Hormonal- causes which may require CT scan of abdomen.
