Ear pain. : This would generally be a muscular issue. There’s the sternomastoid muscle that attaches just behind the ear and then at the base of the neck in the front. Inflammation of that muscle can result in pain that’s felt in the ear. But if you’re having trouble with your hearing, or a ringing in your ear, or dizziness, then it may in fact be ear-related.
