A member asked:

I was diagnosed with the flu one week ago. not much congestion but fatigued. still have fever of 100. is this normal? do i need to be seen again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complications of flu: Sometimes there can be complications from the flu- and I am thinking specifically of bacterial infections, AFTER that first attack by the virus. So if you're really not better after one whole week, you should indeed get checked out. I hate to think that a bacterial pneumonia could have formed, but these flu viruses 'pave the way' for bacteria to follow. Hopefully u can be seen and properly treated
