What can i take for heart burn during my first trimester?

Several medicines: Both Prevacid and Nexium (esomeprazole) are pregnancy category b. My wife had severe heartburn during both her pregnancies and i gave her Prevacid solutabs. I would not recommend Omeprazole because it is pregnancy category c.

Start with tums or rolaids, the calcium is important for you and your baby. If that doesn't do the job, then add one of the meds noted above - but keep taking the tums or rolaids just for the calcium anyway.
