Doctor can evaluate: Most people have a headache at some time, such as from colds and flus, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... Several over-the-counter options include Tylenol (acetaminophen), Motrin, Alleve, Excedrin Migraine, and their generic brands. Waking daily with a headache, having a weird headache, or another worrisome symptom should be examined by a doctor.

Grinding your teeth: Agree with Dr. Kwok. In addition to what he advised, you may wish to consult your dentist to ascertain if you are grinding your teeth while asleep, as the muscle strain from that may cause to have a headache on waking. Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
