Help please! is anorexia a mental disorder or not?

It depends: Anorexia (this word alone, mistakenly used sometimes as synonym of anorexia nervosa) is just a symptom, with different possible causes. But anorexia nervosa technically is defined as mental disorder. So we should know first which one you are referring to.
