Tonsil infections: Hello, it sounds like you have recurrent acute tonsillitis and with the number of infections you are definitely a surgical candidate. Sometimes the bacteria becomes trapped within the tonsil crypts and creates swelling, pain and “mini-abscesses” within the tonsils themselves. See your ENT who will most probably schedule surgery.
