Is it likely to get the virus that causes pink eye but not get pink eye even if i am not immune to the virus?

How would U know: People acquire & shed viruses daily after acquiring them from their environment. If they leave no physical signs like pinkeye, throat infection, or other disturbance how would you ever know ? Some of these challenge your immune system and trigger antibody formation/immunity but some may not. Medical research is laborious & costly. You can't get funding to study things that don't bother people.
